Home staging is designed with one goal in mind... to make your home as desirable as possible to the maximum number of potential buyers.  You live in your home one way but you need to sell it another.  That's where we come in!

Blue Skyz was founded in January 2006 as a solution for local area Kansas City residents who needed a little extra help in getting their property in model home condition.  A family run company, April Lacher is the owner of Blue Skyz Staging, with various other employees on staff.  April has exclusive business relationships with area contractors that can and will provide exceptional services at affordable prices.  You can be certain that Blue Skyz can handle all your staging or re-design needs.

Blue Skyz Staging is based in Independence, MO, within approximately 10 minutes of the Sports Complex.  Our home enhancement professionals provide staging services to the entire Kansas City Metro Area.  We have flexible weekday and weekend hours for your convenience.  We also offer appointments that are convenient to your schedule.

Mighty Oakz, our parent company, is a proud member of the Independence Chamber of Commerce.  Blue Skyz Staging also carries $1 Million worth of general liability insurance, so you and your home are always protected.  Rest assured, our employees are also fully bonded.

Where We Deliver:

Blue Skyz provides service to the entire Kansas City Metro Area with no additional mileage charges (within a 25 mile radius from our office).  Additional services can be provided outside the KC area but travel charges will apply.  Contact our office for further details.

About the Staging Industry

You should understand that home staging is currently a completely  unregulated business. When you see a home stager or re-designer with a bunch of acronyms after their name, they are most likely graduates of a 2 or 3 day course offered by a variety of businesses whose aim is to make money. These training programs can be found in most major cities.  They do not screen their applicants for talent, ability, experience, knowledge or prior education. They do not test or regulate practices. They basically charge their students for presenting them with all the same information that is readily available to anyone in a book store or on the internet.  Most of these training "programs" do include lunch with the trainer, though!  A graduate of any of these programs may have no design, marketing or real estate experience at all. We're not saying that a stager with A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. after their name is not talented, they may well be. Always look at their work, ask them for references, and see what they have done in order to determine what they can do. Be specific with your questions, and don’t assume that pictures placed in their portfolio are actual photos of work they have done. Don’t let your decision be based on the presence of a purchased certification. Your home is probably your most valuable asset, be sure you are getting the professional services you expect and deserve!
